Sunbonnet Sue, Twenty-four/Seven. Here is another Sunbonnet Sue for all you Sue lovers out
there. This time she is a little more stylized but she has that same "can do"
attitude as always. While I was working on her I was also kitty sitting my
Grand kitty while my daughter and her husband were moving into a new home. His
name is Booter and he gave me many hours of pleasure and inspiration for the
black kitty keeping Sue company on this quilt. 32 3/4" x 36 3/4" |

King of the Roost. When my husband and I were first married we had an apartment in an
old Victorian farmhouse in the country. Bantam roosters had the run of the yard
and I fell in love with the beautiful coloring of their feathers. Fresh out of
art school, I tried capturing their beauty in pastel drawings. In our next
apartment, I painted a rooster on one of my kitchen cabinet doors. This quilt
reminds me of that happy time when we were first starting out. 36" x 36" |
